S2IL: Scalable Scientific Imaging Lab

From images to quantitative insights

At the Scalable Scientific Imaging Lab (S²IL), we engage in interdisciplinary collaborations to develop extensible workflows for large-scale image analysis. Our goal is to transform raw imaging data into quantitative scientific insights, with a particular focus on biomedical research spanning cell division, organ development, and translational cancer studies. To this end, we build resilient computational pipelines that scale from laptops to high-performance computing clusters and cloud platforms. Paired with intuitive interfaces for interactive data exploration and visualization, our tools aim to advance open and reproducible science across disciplines.
